Welcome to the Unicorn Beauty Boutique Brow Blog! This site will contain basic information regarding the brow services we offer as well as FAQ's.

What are Ombré Brows?

Ombré brows are a form of Permanent Makeup which gives a powder-look finish to your brows.

This is achieved using a tattoo machine, but this is NOT like the tattooed eyebrows your grandma has. This technique of Permanent Makeup (PMU) only goes through the first two layers of the skin, the Epidermis and into the Dermis. This means that it does not penetrate as deeply as a regular body tattoo. Due to this difference, although it is called Permanent Makeup, the average duration of ombré brows is 2-3 years.

Will it work for me?

Ombré brows are suited for a wide variety of skin types, textures and tones! It is one of the most universally available PMU services because it could work for people with dry, normal, or oily skin, even thinner or aging skin

Contraindications (Who CANNOT get Ombre Brows)

You will not be eligible to get Ombré Microshaded brows if you:

  • are pregnant or breastfeeding

  • have diabetes

  • are going through Chemotherapy or Radiation

  • have had Psoriasis treatment involving steroids

  • are under the age of 18

  • are highly susceptible to keloids

What is the difference between Ombré brows and Microblading?

This is the most common question we are asked every day! Microblading and Ombre brows are NOT the same thing. Microblading is done by creating small superficial cuts in the skin to mimic individual hair strokes while ombré brows are done using a tattoo machine and involves no cutting. Ombré powder is less invasive and less traumatic to the skin.
